An entrepreneur with 20+ years’ experience in consumer and B2B internet product development, sales and marketing. His experience includes spells in corporate life with Fujitsu & Thomson Directories and in the last couple of years his own boot-strapped ventures.
Along the way, he’s built a successful online directory and PPC platform for SMEs, successfully partnering with Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo. He’s developed downloadable golf lessons with famous golf coaches and built an advertising-funded golf community (not his best idea!). His current venture Authoritas is a big data science-driven SaaS platform for Content Marketing and SEO Professionals worldwide.
Penny started her career with PwC in South Africa (during which time she qualified as a chartered accountant). She was later seconded to PwC London where she worked in both the Audit and Transaction Services teams, focusing primarily on providing due diligence and bid support to Private Equity clients.
In 1999, Penny joined Thomson Directories Limited in an M&A role, during which time she worked on numerous transactions including the sale of the business to SEAT Pagine Gialle SpA, before being appointed CFO in 2006. In 2011, Penny joined Authoritas to help grow the business internationally – setting up operations in the US and South Africa. M&A continues to remain a key theme for Penny – most recently with Authoritas’ acquisition of LinkDex in July 2018.
Marcus graduated with a degree in Marketing in 1999, and started his career at a management consultancy. He has since spent more than 15 years in sales and heading up divisions in the publishing and digital arenas.
He joined Linkdex in 2012 to strengthen the sales function and has since risen to head the UK sales team. He sees Linkdex as a refreshing blend of innovative talent captured within an award-winning product.
Outside of Linkdex, most of his time is spent with his wife and two daughters, and a lot of DIY and gardening.
Raphael started his professional career in London 6 years ago as a websites manager then French Country manager. Through this role, his mission was to optimize the different channels of several medical sites.
In 2017, he joined Authoritas as a sales manager in order to perfect his SEO knowledge but especially to integrate a group bringing new proposals on the future of “Search” via Machine Learning and Big Data. He is now our European Business Development Manager and helps the company to grow in the different markets all across Europe.
